As part of our active schools week we had a lovely family nature walk in local Combaun wood! We were joined by former principal Mr. Michael Lewis who told us stories about the flora and fauna of the forest. We scaled the heights of a hill and had a lovely picnic on top! We had nearly clocked 10, 000 steps on return to school. What an exciting day! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Check out the photos below!
Swimming lessons start in Fermoy pool this week.
Bus will leave school in the morning.
We are all looking forward to our weekly dip!

Bhí Ceílí mór againn i Scoil Ghleann na gCreabhar inniu agus bhí craic agus ceol ann.
Today we held a Céilí in the school halla for Seachtain na Gaeilge. It was great fun. Everyone was given a partner. The senior room were partnered up with the junior classes. I was with Kevin and we were in a group of 4 with Mirriam and Evie. We did 2 dances. The Siege of Ennis and an Dreoilín. My favourite dance was the Siege of Ennis because we were changing partners all of the time. (By Seán)
Well done to our boys in 3rd and 4th class and our girls in 3rd, 4th and 5th class who took part in the indoor hurling blitzes in Martinstown last Thursday. We had a fantastic day out with both teams showing great skill and effort. Our boys won 2 of their 3 games and our girls won 1 of their 2 games. This was the first hurling competition the school has entered in over 20 years and we look forward to taking part in many more in the near future
