Congratulations to Jack, Mossy and Kian who received First Communion today. We hope you have a very special day. A big thank you to Ms Fogarty and Fr Kelly for all of their hard work in preparing the boys throughout the year.
Interesting science lesson yesterday as Michael Lewis visited us with a giant wasps nest.
Well done to Cian Ryan and Caylee Hogan who were part of the South Limerick Mackey cup and Neville cup teams. Cian lined out at midfield for the Mackey team who were unlucky to come up against a very strong West side in the semi final. Caylee came on early in the 1st half of the final as the South girls beat the City to win the Neville cup. Congratulations to all involved.
Last Tuesday our infants had a lovely morning as we visited the Tuesday club after mass. We enjoyed performing a few songs and even brought along our PM readers to get in our daily slot of Literacy Lift Off!!
We recently took part in the Team Limerick Clean Up. We are proud that we found very little litter around the school and village.
Michael Lewis visited us recently and planted apple trees with us which were kindly donated by Anglesboro Tidy Towns.
A massive well done to our boys who finished runners up in the mini 7's county football finals that took place in Rathkeale recently. The boys won their first 2 games against Mungret and Broadford. Our last match acted as a final as Lisnagry had also won their first 2 games. The boys played fantastic football in very tough conditions and were unlucky to come out second on a scoreline of 5-0 to 2-3. This was our 2nd team to represent South Limerick in the past 2 weeks following our 2nd-4th class indoor hurlers who also got to the county finals stage, while our girls just missed out on the indoor camogie county finals finishing runners up in the south. We are very proud that a school our size is competing so well against schools such as Milford and Mungret who have over 700 pupils. To acknowledge and celebrate all of our boys and girls achievements we celebrated with a pizza party. The pizza was 👌 Big thanks to Willie Bourke for some great action shots of our matches.
Well done to our 2nd, 3rd & 4th class boys who represented South Limerick in the indoor hurling County finals. Our first game was against eventual winners Doon who beat us 5-4 in a thrilling game. The boys won their 2nd game against Monagea before losing their final game to Milford in another tight match.
Well done to our girls who took part in the second stage of the SPAR FAI Primary School's 5's soccer in Corbally this morning. The girls won one and drew 2 of their 4 games narrowly missing out on qualifying for the County finals and played some fantastic soccer along the way.
Sonas had a fantastic day trip to Liskennett Farm where they enjoyed horse riding as well as caring for all of the animals.
D’imir na Naíonáin Mhóra agus na Naíonáin Bheaga cluiche iomanaíocht sa halla inné don Seachtain na Gaeilge.
Junior and Senior infants indoor hurling blitz for Seachtain na Gaeilge. We are delighted to have over 40,000 website views since going live in September 2017. Thank you for continuing to check in on us!!!
There was great fun and colour in Anglesboro N.S. as we dressed up as our favourite fictional characters for World Book Day. We also enjoyed some paired reading in the evening between a mixture of classes.
For Engineers Week we had great fun making marble runs using recyclable materials!!
Fantastic day out at the SPAR FAI Primary School 5's soccer competition which took place in Corbally this morning. Congratulations to our very young girls team who topped their group undefeated. They now look forward to the group finals which take place in the coming weeks. Well done also to our boys who finished runners up in their group. #SPAR5s
Sonas were busy baking during the week with Ms Murphy, Joan and Ashley. The buns were delicious!!
Well done to our girls and boys teams who both played in the South Limerick indoor hurling / camogie finals following their qualifying blitzes. Our boys won out their final and will now represent South Limerick in the County finals in the coming weeks after playing Knocklong N.S. as well as Herbertstown N.S. Our girls also had a great day out beating Bruff but finished runners up to a very strong Effin team. Thank you to everyone who came along to support our teams.
Big fall of snow in Anglesboro recently and what fantastic fun we had.
What a special morning we had as we celebrated Grandparents Day and St Brigid's Day as part of Catholic Schools Week.
