Our School Garden
There has been a school garden in Anglesboro N.S. with over 35 years. Both Mrs Lyons and Mr Lewis had a huge interest in gardening. This knowledge and interest has been passed down onto the children. This year we decided to add 3 new flower beds to our school garden with money raised from our Junior Entrepreneur project. Each classroom was given a flowerbed which they planted with cabbage, turnips, carrots, parsley, beetroot, lettuce, cauliflower, onions, sunflowers, etc. The competition between classes has been very interesting!!! At the end of the year the senior classes enjoyed a bacon and cabbage dinner using our own potatoes and cabbage. Cian brought us bacon from his family’s farm.
