On Wednesday 13th of December 2017 Anglesboro N.S. hosted their Christmas concert in the hall in Anglesboro at 7p.m. First up we had Boro Buddies preschool and after school singing some fabulous songs. Up next we had juniors seniors and 1st class doing their play and they made a marvellous job of it. It was so funny. Everyone had reasonably the same amount of lines. Before the play we had Pat O Dea. A mighty Irish dancing teacher and he taught the whole school very well. He had a tough decision to pick people to do the dancing on the night. After The Littlest Christmas Tree Ms Gallahues room did their Irish dancing. After that 2nd and 3rd did their Irish dance and they were tantalizing. Sean Gallahue and Cameron Westbrook then did a granny rap. They were amazing. Up next we had Cinderella Big Foot and Cinderella was Liam Bourke who is a great actor. He was also really funny. They put on a fine performance for us. We had a twenty minute break, got tea and did the raffle. After the break Caylee, Sean G, Caoimhe, Tommy, Ellie, Cian R and I did our Irish dance and it was amazing. Our last and final play we did Jack and the Beanstalk with the lead Cameron Westbrook as Jack. He is an excellent actor. There was many good actors too many to name but all put in a big effort to their part of the play. Last but not least we sang some lovely Christmas tunes and that was it for the night. Thanks to all the staff for the great dedication that they put into our performances. We are very proud of what we did. (By Paddy English)

On the 13th December we had our Christmas concert. We started at around 7pm. The first act was the Boro Buddies preschool and after school. They sang Christmas songs and poems. Next was The Littlest Christmas Tree which was performed by Juniors, Seniors, and 1st class. The play was a great laugh and everyone had a fit of laughing. After that the infants and 1st performed sean nós dancing. Soon after the 2nd and 3rd did their sean nós dance which was just tantalizing. Cameron and I then did the “Granny Rap”. My mam said she got a load of positive comments from people about us afterwards. If you were there on the night you would obviously agree that this was the funniest play of the night- “Cinderella Big Foot”. Every single second of it people were crying with laughter. Literally all of the boys were dressed as girls and with the wigs and everything else it was not to be missed. Shortly after there was a break. Then we had our dancing which everyone clapped along to. The final play of the night was our play “Jack and the Beanstalk”. It was really funny to watch I would say. Looking at Paddy as a wife was hilarious. To finish off we then had 1st to 6th singing Christmas carols. It was a great night. (By Seán Gallahue).

On the 13\12\2017 our school put on a show. There was a total of 9 acts in Anglesboro community hall. First was the Boro Buddies pre school. They sang songs like you better watch out and jingle bells. Next we had the infants play – “The Littlest Christmas Tree”. It was about three fir trees wanting to be Christmas trees. Then second and third class did Irish dancing. Following this Sean Gallahue and Cameron Westbrook did the Granny Rap which is about a rapping granny. Next we had second and third classes play Cinderella big foot. It was about Cinderella and her big foot. This was a twist on the original. Some students from fifth and sixth were doing Irish dancing. After this we had a break to get buns and drinks. After the break we had fifth and sixth class Jack and the beanstalk. This was about jack getting a bean which grew into a beanstalk. At the end we all sang songs like ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer’ and ‘Away in a manger.’  (By Kody)

On the 13/12/17 we had our anual Christmas play but this year we did it in the hall and we did dancing, 3 plays and singing. First we had the Boro Buddies preschool and after school. They were so cute and they were really good at singing. Next we had the infants Littlest Christmas Tree. They were fantastic and everyone knew there lines off by heart. After that was the infants dancing. They were brilliant. Seán and Cameron then did the Granny rap. Cinderella big foot was next up. It was hilarious. My favourite part was when Liam was getting changed into his ball gown. Then we had our break. There was a great selection of raffle prizes. 4th 5th and 6th did their sean nós dance after that. Our play Jack and the beanstalk was next. It went amazingly well. My favourite part was when Cian Ryan threw lettuce into the crowd. We had a great night and the best thing is we have no homework until January. (By Ali)
